What we do...

Each year, The Malawi Initiative provides food and supplies for a village which will be the target of efforts.  Each home (usually about 500) will receive rice, beans, salt, sugar, cooking oil, toothbrushes, toothpastes, and books.  Each supply pack is estimated to last for an average of one month.

Our, Eyes for Malawi initiative has been providing prescription glasses and sun glasses to the desperate of Malawi.  A pair of glasses could easily cost more than a years wage for many Malawians, but through this effort, tens of thousands have been provided free of charge.

Our Sewing for Life campaign has been a large success in empowering widows and women with HIV.  Through this initiative a woman is given the opportunity to be trained in tailoring, given a sewing machine, and a small capital to begin her own business and become self-sufficient.

Since its inception, The Malawi Initiative has been supporting orphans by providing them with food, resources, and most importantly, education.  It is our goal to see an orphan complete their education and be given a chance to be self-sufficient and make something of their lives.

Our Pigs and Trees initiative provides a pastor with some pigs and banana trees or goats and banana trees (depending on location).  The capital in livestock provides the entire village an opportunity for provision.  A pig or goat will breed and then be passed along throughout the village until each home has livestock.  Banana trees provide a much needed staple in the village.

Land is essential to what we are able to accomplish in Malawi.  By purchasing a piece of land, we provide the village with a center of care and continued resource.  A church is built on the land and the land is also farmed providing a much needed presence of continued love.
